Not very eco-friendly, but let’s build one!
Just a fun picture I saw a link to. Click for the full size.
Saw this shot over on Stuck In Customs.
Of course a pretty picture, but then I looked closer at the stern of the red boat. I’ve never seen a design like that… good for breaking seas from astern??? Anybody know anything about that kind of layout?
OK, not really a boat, but I think it looks very boat-like.
(sorry for the long hiatus… been traveling a bit)
The Astronomy Picture of the Day site has been publishing a picture every day, with associated information, which is often very educational, since June 16, 1995. I don’t know if they have missed any days in all that time, but if they have, it sure isn’t many.
I enjoy the site and what I can learn from them. This picture is just really, really pretty, and includes a nice boat to boot.
Interesting read… so many of these seem to end in the ship breaking up.
Mark Richardson, of Hammocks by Deckhand Manufacturing fame, sent me this picture of his very nice 38 ft. home built ketch.
Launched November 17, 1989, after having started construction in 1976, Mark continues to enjoy his boat, recently returning from Mexico.
This one came up on my wife’s puzzle program again… I like the picture 🙂
