December 11-13, 2009
Peanut Island, Lake Worth Inlet, Florida, USA
Greetings, Wharram Enthusiast!
If you like Wharram Boats and would like to enjoy a weekend with Wharram builders, owners, and enthusiasts now is your chance!
The 2009 Winter Florida Wharram Rendezvous, sponsored by the Polynesian Catamaran Association (PCA-SeaPeople), is scheduled for the second weekend in December (December 11-13) at beautiful Peanut Island in the Lake Worth Inlet in West Palm Beach, Florida.
We had a link to some of these boats before, but this page has a bunch more pictures and a lot more detail about some of the possible trips.
Traditionally, the Kerala houseboat was called Kettuvallam, which means a boat made by tying together pieces of wood. Unbelievable as it may sound, not a single nail is used in the making of a Kettuvallam…
In my part of the States, the term "boat house" usually means a building where you store a boat (usually built over the water so that the boat can float right in and be fully covered and protected.
This site has a different use of the term, but looking at the craft, its fitting.
This is an incredible "house" built on a boat hull.
Make sure and check out the page for all the pictures.
Just a really nice picture… click for other sizes, etc.
Make sure and check out acampm1’s other photos… some really nice stuff! Lots of boats and seashore work.
We’ve had Stuck in Customs pictures before and I couldn’t resist adding yet another. Click through for a full size version.
