Harold H. Payson and Co. has plans for many small boat designs. As I understand things, he took Bolger designs and built them. They had a business relationship that allowed for Payson to sell/resell Bolger plans when Payson had successfully built then and "tried them out". So a plan from Payson is a plan that was actually, really built and has been trialed. Sometimes this resulted in modifications, etc. from the original.
Payson specialized in quick to build boats, usually (all?) stitch and glue based.
Mr. Payson also has a book available – Build the New Instant Boats.
