One of my most popular posts has been the pointer to the "build your own sandblaster" information... To follow that up, I wanted to point out a couple of links for building your own welder.

This gentleman sells plans for an arc welder made from used microwave transformers and similar "appliance" parts that you can find cheap or free. His web site is quite detailed and you may be able to build from what you find there... if not, he sells a detailed plan/instruction set for a very reasonable fee.
