Amazon recently sent me a note pointing out that they carry a wide range of waterproof electronics. For whatever reason I hadn't thought to search for them with that specific keyword. Quite a lot of the toys and gizmo's we want to fiddle with on a boat are available in a "waterproof" model... sometimes being at least splash resistant can be a really good idea on a boat, in a dinghy, or just out in the rain.
