Royal Yachts
Submitted by cac on Wed, 2011-03-16 21:49CNN has an interesting article on various Royal yachts (or superyachts) from countries around the world. Seems yachts are dying out of favor with various royal families... sad to see them go.

Dazzle Camouflage
Submitted by cac on Fri, 2010-02-05 22:17Interesting link/article with links to others covering some of the various camouflage schemes that have been used on naval vessels over the years.
Maybe my flat bluish shouldn't have been what I went with.
The World's Top 10 Mega-Yachts
Submitted by cac on Fri, 2009-06-19 23:42ABC News has an interesting overview of some incredible ships. Maybe I can see one like this from a distance some day... that's about as close as I expect to get.

Historic Tall Ship Replicas
Submitted by cac on Thu, 2009-01-08 22:31Thomas Armstrong at 70.8% points us to this neat site where Hans-Peter Brugger is creating an encyclopedic coverage of photos, books and other documentation on historic replicas worldwide.
Its one LARGE, detailed page that takes a bit to load, but if you're interested in historic craft, especially tall ships, make sure and check it out.
Shipwrecks & Sea Disasters
Submitted by cac on Wed, 2008-05-07 21:22For a little of the opposite extreme of our usual build type articles, here's another in our series of abandoned and derelict craft. Somehow these can often be hauntingly beautiful.
Check out this Shipwrecks & Sea Disasters collection.
