Bedliner sources
Submitted by cac on Fri, 2008-10-17 22:14As I've mentioned in a couple of recent build posts, I've been doing some looking/researching on "bedliner" material. This is the rubbery paint type stuff that is sprayed, rolled or brushed on pickup truck bed as a protective layer. Several builders on various mailing lists have recommended it as a good coating for decks, and I think I'll be giving it a try. read more »

Epoxy sources
Submitted by v28build on Fri, 2007-06-01 12:06I continue to be busy shopping away for essential supplies. Can't get started without about three basics:
- Plywood
- Lumber (dimensional)
- Epoxy (or glue of choice)
This post is going to list some of the epoxy sources I've found. Other than recommendations and comments by others, I can't vouch for any of them, but wanted to list them all in one place so that I can find them again, and so that any of you who are wanting to shop can check them out.
First off, there is a good discussion on the WoodenBoat Forum that covers a lot of these suppliers, with opinions.
First off, there's always the "big boys" in the epoxy world:
Then there are some other suppliers that I've found:
- Fiberglass Supply
- Fiberglass Coatings, Inc.
- Progressive Epoxy Polymers, Inc. - this side has a lot of detailed epoxy information
- John Greer and Associates
- U.S. Composites
- Raka, Inc.
- B&B Yacht Designs - apparently they resell a nice to use epoxy at great prices... give them a call for details
Books - The Store at Craft A Craft
Submitted by cac on Tue, 2007-03-27 14:52General categories are geared around boating specific searches. There are separate listings for the popular designers' publications. Dig around... I keep finding things I didn't know were "out there".
All the "selling" is done through Amazon... I do get a percentage if you buy it through this site... if you would rather go straight to Amazon, feel free. The cost to you will be the same either way.
The older list can be found at: Old Book List.
If you find it cheaper somewhere else, let me know... Amazon's just convenient for a lot of us :-)
