Pumpkinseed Kayak
Submitted by cac on Thu, 2009-10-01 09:03This is a little different take on "stitch and glue" using canvas strips glued for the joints instead of thickened epoxy. I kind of like that idea. Canvas has been used for decades on boats (especially as deck covering) and is still popular with some builders. Put the canvas on, add some paint as "filler" and away you go. read more »

Soda Bottle Pontoon Boat

He's using plastic soda bottles to fill the hull spaces. Let's you not worry about sealing the pontoons, just let the bottles do the flotation.
Electric power from MinnKota trolling motors, and even a carved dragon's head that turns with the helm.
