DIY Machine Tools
Submitted by cac on Sun, 2009-04-05 20:57If you are doing something as big as building a boat, you are probably at least somewhat "handy" and are comfortable working with your hands. Many of us are limited in our resources and would love to do more involved work with metal (or wood), but are lacking tools.

Mad Mariner™ magazine
Submitted by cac on Thu, 2007-08-30 12:25To make sure that my relationship is obvious, I am a paid contributor to Mad Mariner™. I value my relationship with them, but I will do my best to maintain editorial integrity with any dealings. The management at Mad Mariner™ seems to have similar goals. My opinions are my own, not the editors' or advertisers' of this site or Mad Mariner™.

Houseboating World
Submitted by cac on Mon, 2007-06-11 10:20This isn't really a build site, but definitely a cruise site. So many people do all or part of the Great Loop on houseboats or other craft that many would never consider for a trip like this... if you are in that group, or just want to check them out, see this site.
