Dana Vincent's 25-foot Cape Dory has sailed on blue water with a minimum of high-tech gadgetry onboard: a chartplotter, SSB radio and handheld VHF and GPS units.
Does anybody find it mildly humorous that we have reached the point that we think having 4 electronic devices is a minimum? I bet Columbus would have killed for a GPS (or even a good map).
