We've had plenty of C-Dory links before, but apparently I never put up anything about their power catamaran, the TomCat... nice little powerboat for the river and coastal cruising scene.

The Suntory Mermaid II, a catamaran powered by the waves, succeeded in crossing the Pacific in a wave powered boat. Then was arrested (but it was made good by the mayor and he's a free man).

Japanese sailor and environmentalist Kenichi Horie has completed a 110-day solo voyage across the Pacific Ocean in a boat propelled by wave power to claim another world first.

African Cats has some nice looking production catamarans. What really interested me was their "Green Motion" line of hybrid drive systems. They seem to really emphasis regeneration of power while under sail with the idea of oversizing the motor so that they can better regenerate.

WWW.CATAMARANS.COM has been around for a while, but they have recently re-worked their web site. Looks quite nice.

They cover catamarans worldwide... they have listings for sales, rentals, charters, shows and other articles and postings that you might learn from.

Interesting commercial offering... might be worth a look if you want an easily transportable way of getting on the water.

Interesting little inflatable sailboat. Its a commercial offering in the U.K. that gives you a sailboat catamaran that will knock down and fit in a bag that would be easily carried on your back. Price seems a bit high though...
