I don't know if it will fly, but if you are into computers, silicon chips, carbon nano-tubes and the like (well, some of us keep up with more than boats :-)), then read up on graphene.

A Florida (USA) based battery supplier... lots of options and products for the marine, RV and electric vehicle markets.

More possible advances in battery technology. They are claiming to be able to rapidly charge and discharge a battery. This lets you have a fast electric "fill-up". Of course they are looking at automobiles, but a lot of these things will really overlap with the marine world.

Another of the up-and-coming battery technologies. The various electric vehicle and hybrid research initiatives seem like they may pay off.

PowerGenix is touting their Nickel-zinc batteries... looks like another possibly interesting technology. read more »
