Second skin

PDF versionSend to friendPrinter-friendly versionWell, after a fun filled but tiring interlude at mouseland (Walt Disney World) with the family, boatbuilding resumes.

In some ways I was afraid I would regret the time away, but it wound up being very rejuvenating. We also had some time over at Kennedy Space Center to see the complex there. On the way across the causeway there was a very nice Nordic Tug anchored just off the road... I really wish I had been out there :-).

Got three of the six major panels cut for the second layer of hull bottom tonight. The rear-most ones are the hardest with the notches to fit around the transom cutout/motorwell. After that, it's just plugging along going forward. I'll get the other big panels cut (hopefully tomorrow) and can start actually adding them to the hull Saturday.

Time = 1.5 hours

Nice site!

Hi Bruce, Nice site you have here. I think that the Mark V boat designs are great. I'll check back on your progress from time-to-time. I'd be honored if you wanted to post an entry to hi-lite my CLC Jimmy Skiff construction blog at http://www.jimmyskiff.blogspot.com Thanks for bringing together all these great resources. Ron
