Michael Storer Boat Design

The Storer Website is amazing!

I had a number of questions about how to fibreglass tape and epoxy coat a sailing canoe I am building from another designer.

I'm also using the free download paddle plan to make a couple of auxilary singles for my sailing canoe.

This site had instructions on how as well as photos of how to do it.

It also has the best information I have seen ANYWHERE about setting up different boat rigs like lugs and sprit rigs.

Lots of detail photos and many clever and simple and cheap methods. A great halyard system for lug rigs that won't jam - ever and it comes from 100 years ago. Good research!

I have also paid for and downloaded his $20 PDRacer plans - so detailed including heaps of photos and diagrams - the best plans I have seen it includes a simple rudder setup that I will be using on every boat I build from now. I can't say enough about how good this site is - and it has only cost me $20 so far

I think I am a fan!  But the site is well worth a look.

The storer boat plans site

The storer boat plans site has been going ahead steadily. It contains several pages now of each of what seem to be the main designs - some very nice plywood boats that look just right. Also there are a number of pages that seem to be quite useful for builders of modern epoxy timber boats.

Great catch!

Thanks for the comment... I hadn't seen the new info!
