Don't know why I had never thought of it, but you might look at eBay for your bulk metal buys... there are vendors out there.

On the Metal Boat Society list, yachts66 was kind enough to remind me to consider shipping. At least in his location, the local supplier was often the best deal after you factored in shipping of something this heavy.
