If you haven't seen it, check out the Devlin Surf Scoter 26' article on page 148 of the latest PassageMaker Magazine (August 2007). Its a good writeup of a couple who had a Surf Scoter built and the writer gives a nice review, including a short test cruise. 

It's nice to see the mainstream press covering the smaller (and potentially homebuilt) cruising boats instead of just the large trawlers and/or go-fasts.
