We've covered the Loon by
Tamarack Lake Electric Boat Co. before... now the Toronto Star has a feature article on the company. Part of the article is the announcement of new, big name investors, more money, new developments, and apparently a push toward marketing for the British canals, among other things. Another brief mention is made of a large houseboat type craft... I'm assuming solar-electric also, although its not specified.

I have to wonder about the sunlight that you get in the U.K. vs some of the lower lattitudes, but he's been doing ok in Toronto, which is probably similar.
