David Case has created a neat little web site covering "large projects"... various amateurs get themselves involved in large projects, such as home build airplanes and boats... he's formed a site covering people's projects and links to their web pages. He also hosts some Project Logs (Plogs as he calls them), where you can use his facilities to create a page to track your project.

He isn't specifically about boats, but has a large boat section.
