Our friends over at weliveonaboat.com recently posted a sad story of a man going overboard during the night and drowning in his home marina. The accident was apparently alcohol related.

They present some interesting statistics on deaths related to alcohol and boating. Do you think its really such a large problem in the boating environment? I don't drink alcohol, so don't see myself in that situation, but as drunk drivers have taught us, the innocent can certainly be harmed also.
